The knowledge, experience and perspective of the researchers and students who visit us are highly valued in our academic programs.

If you are a doctoral student or a student doing your TFM and you are interested in a research stay at the Faculty of Law, the first thing you need to do is to find a professor with whom you share a research affinity (for example, through the Faculty of Law website), and send them your project to request their support during your stay.

Once this task is complete, you should send the following documentation by email to invesderecho@uam.es at least one month before your planned arrival date:

  • An endorsement signed by the professor you have contacted, addressed to the Vice-Dean of Research, indicating the date of your arrival and the end of your stay, using the attached model.
  • A research report, of about a thousand words, in Spanish or English.
  • Your curriculum vitae in Spanish or English.
  • A legible and scanned copy of your ID card or passport.
  • A legible and scanned copy of your health insurance that covers the entire period of your stay in our Faculty.
  • Your welcome form should include a current photo and a brief biography, as well as your contact email. This form, which is optional, will help make you known to all the Faculty’s teaching and research staff and to the Administration and Services staff.

To access the Library's funds, you must also send a form to invesderecho@uam.es, which is signed by the professor who is endorsing you.

The Vice-Dean of Research will evaluate the proposal and, if it is approved, a letter of acceptance will be sent to you by e-mail.

The Research Office will arrange access to the institution’s e-mail account so that you can use the Library's collection (important: an ID-UAM is only provided for research stays of more than a month long)

Upon your arrival, we will show you the spaces in the Library where you can carry out your research.
