We are a public Law School proud of our public service—we take pride in providing affordable high quality legal education to students from all social classes and backgrounds. For more than a decade, in the annual rankings run by the newspaper El Mundo—equivalent to the US News rankings in the US—our law school has been consistently ranked as the top law school in Spain, out of all the public and private universities. In the QS World University Rankings 2013, we are ranked among the best 100 Law Schools in the world.

We work very hard every day to deserve the leading position in which the rankings place us. In this pursuit we count on a very strong faculty. An indication of this fact is the constant flux of our professors back and forth from our Law School to national and international high courts. Former justices and presidents of the Spanish Constitutional Court, former senior clerks at the very same court, former presidents of the National Commission for the Defense of Trade Competition, Advocates General at the European Court of Justice, European Court of Human Rights judges, all have been active members of our faculty.

The mark of distinction in our law school is the fact that the practicing lawyers and judges who are full members of our faculty are also prestigious scholars, who actively publish and participate in the most advanced and specialized academic debates. Indeed, we are proud to count among us on leading scholars in every field of legal research. It is this unique combination between a high-level legal practice and a constantly updated theoretical knowledge what places us at the very top of Law Schools in Spain and the reason that our graduated students are so well regarded in the legal professions.
