INFORMATION FOR NOMINATED STUDENTS 2024 -2025

Once you have been selected by your home University as an Exchange Student at UAM, it will be necessary to follow these procedures to be accepted as an Exchange Student at UAM. 

1. NOMINATION 

The first necessary step for you to be admitted as an exchange student at the UAM is for your home university to inform us of your nomination as an exchange student, within the following  established deadlines:

General deadlines (Academic year 2024/25) :

  • First semester and full course: From April 1 to 30
  • Second semester: From September 1 to 30

2. ON-LINE APPLICATION 1-31 May 2024

The  online application process consists of two steps:

  • Registration as a user : you must register as a UAM user to have access to online procedures. To register as a user you must click  here , you will receive your username and password by email, please check your SPAM folder.
  • Admission application form : using the username and password obtained when registering, you will be able to access the admission application form. To complete the online application form you must click  here .

Confirm with your home university which is the UAM faculty or school  for which you have been selected. It is important that you indicate this information correctly in the online form.

In the case of master's students, all documentation is sent to the master's program coordinator since this is the one who will decide on admission.

3. LEARNING AGREEMENT

Remarks

In general, enrolment is subject to the availability of places in the courses places in the subjects

At least 51% of the credits must belong to the Faculty or school where you are going to study at the UAM.

 

4. ADMISSION

Very important: Students nominated for the School of Engineering are required to send a Spanish B1 certificate

For the 2024/25 academic year subjects in English will be only offered at the Master's level.

 

         5. ARRIVAL CERTIFICATE

Once you arrive at the UAM, you will need to register your arrival at the International Relations and Mobility Service (SERIM).

BUDDY SYSTEM

     

 

If you are an international student at the UAM and would like to contact local students to guide and advise you during your stay in Madrid, register on The Buddy System online platform before arriving in Madrid. In this way, we will assign you a student mentor with whom you have an affinity.

Why participate in the Program?

  • You can contact your mentor with all the questions and doubts you have before arriving in Madrid and starting your mobility.
  • You will have support during your stay.
  • Your Mentor will be able to facilitate your integration among UAM students
  • You will be able to improve your knowledge of Spanish and learn about Spanish culture first-hand.
  • You will be able to participate in joint activities with your Mentor, both those that are scheduled from the program and those that you freely agree on

UAM offers Spanish courses for foreigners to improve your level before or during your stay at our institution.
