Annual enrolment

Academic year 2023-24 Enrollment schedule evaluation and thesis deposit

In the academic calendar for the 2023-24 academic year approved by the University Governing Council, in December 2023, it was established that the academic calendar for all doctorate-associated tutorships (except the first) will coincide with the academic year: all doctoral students and doctoral students must renew their registration in October 2023.

FOR ALL DOCTORAL STUDENTS

  • ALSO THOSE WHO ENROLLED A SEMESTER GUARDIANSHIP IN FEBRUARY IN THE 2022-23 ACADEMIC YEAR
  • ALSO THOSE WHO HAVE SUSPENDED THE ORDINARY EVALUATION 22-23 AND HAVE NOT YET BEEN EVALUATED IN THE EXTRAORDINARY

Enrollment for the SECOND YEAR AND SUCCESSIVE TUTORIAL (valid for the entire 2023-24 academic year, until October 2024) subject must be formalized between October 16 and November 15, always within the permanence limits established by the regulations (maximum thesis completion date that appears in Sigma.

The non-formalization of the registration will lead to the definitive withdrawal from the Doctoral Program.

Enrollment exception only first semester, academic year 2023-24

Exceptionally, doctoral students with full-time dedication who enrolled for the first time in February of 2018, 2019 or 2020, and who have enrolled for tutorials 5, 4, or 3 semesters in the 2022-23 academic year:

Those who have enrolled in the fifth full-time semester tutelage in the 2022-23 academic year must necessarily enroll in a first semester tutelage (tutela 61) in the 2023-24 academic year.

Those who have enrolled in the third or fourth semester tuition in the 2022-23 academic year may request semester registration (for the first semester of the 2023-24 academic year) for tutorships 4 and 5, if, in addition, the following two conditions are met.

  • They have passed the evaluation of the guardianship registered in 2022-23 in the ordinary call
  • They agree to deposit the thesis before March 15, 2024 (no extension possible)

In these cases, the semester registration must be requested by email (doctorado.gestion@uam.es; subject semester registration 2023-24)

There are exceptional situations in which a new registration does not have to be formalized:

  • Those who have completed the 5 year guardianship (full time) or 8 year guardianship (part time).
  • Those who are going to deposit the thesis before December 22.
  • Those who are on leave (they will formalize the registration at the time of discharge)
