The Doctoral Student Commitee is a representative body that works within the structure of the UAM Doctorate School to represent and defend the interests of doctorate students. It is composed of one representative from each Doctorate Programme in the UAM, each of whom is elected by the doctorate students in the Programme from among them.

ELECTIONS TO THE DOCTORAL STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL 2024.

The Elections for the representative body of doctoral students at UAM (CRD) will take place on April 17h.

PhD students can vote in person at the Doctoral School, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

PhD students enrolled in programs in the Medicine campus will vote at the Doctoral School Office in the Faculty of Medicine.

 

If you wish to vote for a representative of your PhD Program, but you can’t attend the polling stations in person on the 17th April, there are two options:  

 

  • Vote by mail: 2nd-5th April 2024

The vote will be sent in a sealed DIN A6 size envelope, which will be inserted inside a DIN A5 size envelope. This second envelope will also include the official postal vote form (duly completed and signed), the ballot and a photocopy of your Passport, Spanish Identity Document, or NIE. The envelope must be marked with the following text: “Elecciones EDUAM 2024 a Consejo de Representantes de Doctorado”.

Only those votes received in the University Registry by April 5th 2024 will be considered.

  • Early voting: 2nd-5th April 2024 (until 5 p.m.)

 

The vote will be sent in a sealed DIN A6 size envelope, which will be inserted inside a DIN A5 size envelope. This second envelope will also include the official early vote form (duly completed and signed), the ballot and a photocopy of your Passport, Spanish Identity Document, or NIE. The envelope must be marked with the following text: “Elecciones EDUAM 2024 a Consejo de Representantes de Doctorado”.

All early votes must be delivered to the EDUAM Administrative Office before 5:00 p.m. on April 5th, 2024.

Candidatures

Though there is not an official list of possible representatives, if you are interested on being elected you can state your intention to be elected up to 20th March. You will need to send an email to doctorado.gestion@uam.es (Candidatura RD)

Nonetheless, all the doctoral students included in the electoral roll are eligible (within each doctoral program).
