General Information
  • Aimed at: university students registered with the UAM for studies leading to official degree qualifications (other than UAM and Postgraduate qualifications).
  • Purpose: carrying out full-time EHEA degree studies.
  • Duration: four, six or nine months, depending on the duration of the agreement established.
  • Financial assistance: SICUE is a mobility programme that does not include financial assistance to students participating in it. However, students selected for exchange may also apply to the Ministry for Science and Innovation for a Seneca grant. For the 2008/2009 academic year, grants amounted to €500 per month plus travel assistance of €120, or €200 in the case of students going to universities in the Balearic or Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla.

Documentation to be submitted
• Form, printed and signed.
• Photocopy of valid National Identity Document, passport or residence permit as applicable.
• Official certificate of studies, in the case of students whose academic records include studies carried out in universities other than the UAM.
Submission of applications
Once the online form has been filled in, saved and printed, it is to be submitted in duplicate, duly signed, together with the required documentation to the:
* Administration/Secretariat registry of each Faculty or School.
* Other methods established in Article 38.4 of Law 30/1992 of 26 November concerning the Legal Regimen of Public Administration and the Common Administrative Procedure, as amended by Law 4/1999 of 13 January.Applications sent solely by means of the online form will not be accepted, it being indispensable for them also to be submitted in
hard copy at the places indicated in this section.
Selection criteria
The criteria are as follows:
• Average grades. The scale applied is set out in section 7.2 of the exam rules.
• Note on reasons: Student's reasons for wishing to go on the exchange, which must be filled in on the online form [except for students of the La Salle Higher Centre for University Studies], will be assessed between 0 and 1 point.
