Introducing the Erasmus+ STT on Internationalization

What is the goal of the training program?

The main purpose of the Erasmus+ STT week on Internationalization is to provide participants with the know-how needed to make their university stand out

in the international framework. The training will focus on identifying the biggest challenges that the higher education institutions now face in a globalized world

and how can those challenges be turned into opportunities. Participants will interact in a dynamic scenery, designed to foster dialogue and debate,

being constantly challenged through tasks and case studies consisting of hypothetical scenarios.

Whom does it address?

Participants to the training should be members of the academic community with an English level of B1 or above, looking to develop and/or improve

their knowledge and skills concerning the internationalization process: teaching staff, administrative staff, PhD candidates or researchers etc. The training

is especially targeting the staff of the international relations offices but it is not limited to them.

How is the program structured?

The training program will take place in the lovely city of Timisoara, Romania. Timisoara is also known as little Vienna because of its habsburgic look and

traces of the Austrian Empire. Timisoara was elected European Capital of Culture for 2021 because of its beauty, rich cultural life and peaceful blend of

ethnic minorities. The training program will be divided into presentations and workshops combined with one-to-one coaching sessions. With a total duration

of 25 hours, the classes will take place from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 3 pm. After completion, all participants will be awarded Erasmus+ Staff Mobility (STT)

certificates. The training includes also a cultural component with the possibility to visit the Romanian village museum, a walking city tour and a traditional Romanian

Can the training be funded through Erasmus+ STT grants?

Yes, each participant can apply for a mobility grant within his/her institution. We will provide all the required documentation for the Erasmus+ STT

grant applicants: invitation, training curricula and certificate of attendance.

What is the cost of the program?

The program package costs 600 euros and it includes:

 the training program;

 accommodation for 6 nights in a 3 star hotel;

 meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner

 training materials.

UniTrento International Partner Days, 21st-23rd October 2019

the University of Trento is pleased to invite you to the International Partner Days, from 21st to 23rd October 2019.

This event is aimed at creating network opportunities, sharing best practices and training our and your skills in a stimulating context. The three-day programme includes workshops and sessions on Double Degrees, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees and Qualifications recognition concerning Joint Programmes, as well as cultural and social activities.

The programme includes also a Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday 22nd October 2019 to promote our partner institutions and exchange opportunities among UniTrento students. Please consider that partner institutions may choose to attend only the fair or to delegate the participation to their outgoing students at UniTrento.

A confirmation on acceptance will be sent via email to all applicants by mid September.

The number of participants is limited to 30. A maximum of 2 representatives per institution can be accepted, any selection will be

based on ongoing institutional agreements and individual professional profile. 

Erasmus+ KA107 International Credit Mobility grant holders are requested to attend the additional 2-day training

(workshops and job shadowing) on ICM proposals submission and projects management, in order to comply with the minimum stay

foreseen by these projects.

Erasmus Staff week _Teachers of English. University of Crete.

The University of Crete English for Academic Purposes (EAP) instructors are happy to announce their 2nd EAP/ESP conference 

on 20-23 September 2019.

EAP and ESP practitioners are invited to be part of a wide network of action researchers, teachers, teacher trainers, students and

highly experienced professors who are active in these fields. There will be a wide range of training opportunities including EAP Technology

workshops, and Materials writing workshops as well as poster, Pecha Kucha or paper presentations.

The EAP Crete conference themes cover EAP and ESP practices and research such as academic literacies, genre pedagogies, critical

thinking and metacognition tasks. This conference is also part of the Erasmus I-motion Staff week and participants should inquire with

their universities to check if they are eligible for sponsorship. The  conference will be taking place in Heraklion, the capital of the island

of Crete, Greece at the Computer Science Department, University of Crete in September. Make sure you don’t miss the early bird registration.

 


LIBRARIANS STAFF TRAINING WEEK in Iasi - Romania

We take this opportunity to promote the 1st edition of the LIBRARIANS’ STAFF TRAINING WEEK, which will be organized by Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași and Mihai Eminescu Central University Library in Iași, Romania, October 7 - 11, 2019.
The training week will include discussions and presentations, exchanges of good practice, personalized meetings, campus and city tours, and a trip to central Moldavian region.

We kindly invite staff working in libraries and learning centers to fill in this registration form no later than September 8, 2019, in case they are interested.

Staff training: UCA - International Teaching Forum - November 14th/15th, 2019

We are pleased to announce that Université Clermont Auvergne will organize the 4th edition of the International

Teaching Forum at Clermont-Ferrand (FRANCE), on November 14 and 15, 2019. 

In line with the previous three conferences (two were held at Shanghai Normal University in China in 2016 and 2017

and one at Utah Valley University in the United States in 2018), the overall objective of the 4th International Teaching

Forum will be to address innovative pedagogical practices in higher education in different countries. Over two days,

teachers and researchers together will work on issues related to the contributions and limits of innovative teaching

practices, based on experiments conducted more particularly (but not exclusively) in the field of communication and

management. For this edition, the theme of pedagogical innovation will be addressed from the perspective of interculturality

and skills. Papers will discuss how teaching pedagogies have fostered the creation of a context favorable to interculturality

and facilitated the acquisition of transversal skills.

This forum is eligible for Erasmus + Staff Mobility for Training.

Pre-Announcement 2019 Staff Week at Hanze UAS

We are happy to announce that Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen will once again organise a comprehensive one-week

training programme for colleagues of our partner institutions in the framework of Erasmus+ staff mobility for training. The programme is

scheduled from 14-18 October 2019 and will start on Monday morning and end on Thursday. On Friday, you will have the possibility to

schedule your personal meetings with colleagues and students at Hanze UAS.

The programme targets university’s International Offices employees, Study Guidance, Study Advisors, University Services or Faculties

Supporting International students and International Coordinators. All of you are more than welcome.
 
Participants are expected to finance their own travel, accommodation, and other expenses through the Erasmus+ programme.

There are no participation fees.

Up to thirty participants will be admitted, with a maximum of two attendees per institution, though priority will be given to one per institution.

Técnico Lisboa | International Staff Training Week 2019 : Boosting the Internationalization in HEIs

We have the pleasure to invite you to register for Técnico Lisboa’s (University of Lisbon) International Staff Training Week to be held from 7 to 11 October, 2019.

The five-day programme has a unique format which will include guest speakers, regular sessions, debates, workshops, along with the opportunity to disseminate your university at the international exhibition (I-Day) and World Café, cultural activities and social events. The outcome is to exchange experiences and know-how and participants who will learn from good practices of the partner institutions, obtaining the skills that are relevant for their jobs and their professional development.

The International Staff Training Week is open to international relations professionals, administrative staff from international partners and non-partner Universities, as well as staff members from all Portuguese universities.

International Staff Training Week 2019

The University of Beira Interior invites the Institutional Partners to the International Staff Training Week 2019, which will take place from October 14th to 18th, 2019, at Covilhã.
 
The ISTW is a five-day program, which will include seminars taught by UBI, social and cultural activities and tasting of our regional products.
