International Week for Health Care, Social Services and Physiotherapy at TAMK/Tampere, Finland

It is a pleasure to invite you and your colleagues to our annual International Week for Health Care, Social Services and Physiotherapy in the autumn of 2018. The week will be held on Oct 8 – 12, 2018 and it will offer you a unique chance to get to benchmark & learn about Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) and to meet colleagues from other countries & institutions.

International Staff Training Weeks at the University of Porto

The University of Porto is pleased to announce its INTERNATIONAL WEEK 2018, which will have 4 editions:

14th to 18th May English language (Deadline: 16th March)  

23rd to 27th July English language (Deadline: 25th May)

17th to 21st September Portuguese language (Deadline: 15th July)

12th to 16th November English language (Deadline: 14th September)

Our Staff Training Week is open to administrative staff from International Cooperation. With an intensive programme focused in the expansion of cooperation (through new tools and financial possibilities), this capacity building will offer an enriching international and intercultural learning experience and the opportunity to discuss interesting and important topics. The activities will comprise a range of issues through interactive group sessions including workshops and short certificated training courses, among others. With this initiative, we wish to open the University of Porto to our partners and other foreign universities in order to strengthen international cooperation by encouraging the exchange of best practices and experiences.

In order to make more comfortable the organization of the participants´ travel to Porto, we centralize in our office the reservations of meals assuring special rates for our guests (through specific protocols with restaurants in the city).

Therefore, there will be a fee of 250,00€/participant, which will include both work and social programme:

  • Information Kit

  • Visit to the University Facilities

  • Travel card for local public transportation in Porto

  • Networking and Cultural activities

  • 1 Multicultural Dinner

  • Certificate of attendance

Accommodation not provided.

Since the number of participants will be limited for each edition, we recommend the interested candidates to fill in the online application form. You can check all information and Work Plan in the iMotion site

The selection results will be sent to each participant shortly after the application deadline. Please be aware that we can allow a maximum 2 (two) representatives from each institution.

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is organizing its 8th Erasmus Staff Training Week from the 15th till the 19th of October 2018 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The main purpose of this event is to widen and strengthen the cooperation with our partner institutions, to share our different experiences, to facilitate networking and establishment of new partnerships.

International Staff Training Week 2018: Internationalization Outside the European Union

The University of Beira Interior invites the Institutional Partners to the International Staff Training Week, which will take place from October 15th to 19th, 2018, at Covilhã. The ISTW Programme will focus on the Internationalization of Universities outside the European Union context, with bilateral meetings with Partners and create synergies with each Partner University. ISTW will also have moments of leisure, with visits to the well-known Historical Villages, deepening of the student spirit of the University of Beira Interior, in order to understand UBI’s context.

 

The registration fee is € 80, which includes the welcome kit, activities, 4 lunches, coffee breaks tasting dinner and closing dinner. Participants have to pay for travel, accommodation and the other dinners themselves.

Non-European participants can apply for an Erasmus+/ International Credit Mobility Staff Training Grant at our University.

 

European participants can apply for an Erasmus+ Staff Training Grant at your University.

International  Week at INSA Toulouse

With regard to the International Week at INSA Toulouse, I am pleased to invite a representative from your university to INSA Toulouse from the 8th to the 11th of October, 2018.

Each year, the International Week at INSA Toulouse aims to present all available international mobility opportunities to our students and foster relations between foreign and French students at INSA Toulouse. The delegations of our foreign partners also take part in this event by presenting their institutions to our students.

As a new facet this year, we will be holding our International Week in conjunction with IMT Mines Albi. By working collaboratively on this event, we hope to expose the students to even more possibilities while cultivating healthy relationships with other local universities.

We kindly remind you that the expenses of health insurance, transportation, accommodation and the round-trip international air ticket of the participant will be covered by your university.

If you will be able to send a representative, please let us know at direction-ri@insa-toulouse.fr on or before the 5th of September for planning purposes.

 


Introducing the Erasmus+ STT on Internationalization

 

What is the goal of the training program?

The main purpose of the Erasmus+ STT week on Internationalization is to provide participants with the know-how needed to make their university stand out in the international framework. The training will focus on identifying the biggest challenges that the higher education institutions now face in a globalized world and how can those challenges be turned into opportunities. Participants will interact in a dynamic scenery, designed to foster dialogue and debate, being constantly challenged through tasks and case studies consisting of hypothetical scenarios.

Whom does it address?

Participants to the training should be members of the academic community with an English level of B1 or above, looking to develop and/or improve their knowledge and skills concerning the internationalization process: teaching staff, administrative staff, PhD candidates or researchers etc. The training is especially targeting the staff of the international relations offices but it is not limited to them.

How is the program structured?

The training program will take place in the lovely city of Timisoara, Romania. Timisoara is also known as little Vienna because of its habsburgic look and traces of the Austrian Empire. Timisoara was elected European Capital of Culture for 2021 because of its beauty, rich cultural life and peaceful blend of ethnic minorities. The training program will be divided into presentations and workshops combined with one-to-one coaching sessions. With a total duration of 25 hours, the classes will take place from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 3 pm. After completion, all participants will be awarded Erasmus+ Staff Mobility (STT) certificates. Can the training be funded through Erasmus+ STT grants?

Yes, each participant can apply for a mobility grant within his/her institution. We will provide all the required documentation for the Erasmus+ STT grant applicants: invitation, training curricula and certificate of attendance.

What is the cost of the program?

The program package costs 600 euros and it includes:

 the training program;

 accommodation for 6 nights in a 3 star hotel;

 meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner

 training materials.

U.Porto Staff Training Week - Employability area/services

We are pleased to invite you to our International Staff Training Week concerning Employability Services at Porto, to be held from Monday, November 26th to Friday, November 30th 2018. Both academic and non-academic staff from our international partner universities are welcome to attend this event.

In a join venture with University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (Portugal) and University of Vigo (Spain), the main purpose of our International Staff Training Week is to widen and strengthen the cooperation with partner institutions, to share different experiences on career & employability services, to facilitate networking and establish new partnerships.

It is a fantastic opportunity to share best practice with colleagues from all over the world.

PROGRAMME: The theme for this first Staff Week is “Employability: a challenge to Universities and Companies and will include the following topics:

 

  • Training for career & employment counsellors

  • Work & living in Portugal

  • Trends and challenges - Unemployment in the North Region of Portugal

  • Data Protection and GDPR:  the impact in the Employability & Career Services

  • Successful studies and projects presentations

  • Round table with companies – discussion about soft skills

  • Presentations by HEI participants on a theme of their choice

  • Visit to “Cidade das Profissões” (City of Professions – service based on the "Cité des Métiers" model, created in France in the early 1990, promoted by the Porto City Hall, which aims to foster people's employability and entrepreneurship)

  • Visit to UPTEC (Science and Technology Park of University of Porto, which supports the creation of technological, scientific and creative based companies and attracts national and international innovation centres)

  • Visit U.Porto & UTAD campus and discover the city of Porto

It will be possible to get individual appointments in the faculties or other university facilities of your interest. You are welcome to give a short presentation (max. 15 mins) about your home university.

REGISTRATION: Please do your registration at this form until September 28th.

We will communicate the results by the beginning of October 2018. The staff will only happen with a minimum of 15 participants.
