I WANT TO STUDY AT UAM

If you are interested in studying at UAM these are the different possibilities you have:

Applying through an international mobility programme	Applying individually
Erasmus Programme	Visiting student
International Agreements	Regular student
CEAL (Centre of Latin American Studies)
Other mobility programmes

ERASMUS PROGRAMME

· Erasmus partner universities

In order to study at UAM as an Erasmus student there must be an Erasmus Agreement between your home institution and UAM. If this agreement does not exist, it cannot be proposed by the student himself. To check which universities have an Erasmus Agreement with UAM click here. For that reason you should check in your home institution if there is a possibility to come to UAM through the ERASMUS PROGRAMME and obtain information of what you should do to apply for an Erasmus grant. Being an Erasmus student implies two things:

· First: Being awarded the grant by your home institution.

· Second: Being accepted by the host institution (UAM). You will have to consider the deadlines to apply for admission.

INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS

Check at your home university whether there is an agreement with UAM, since your home university will carry out the procedures for student’s admission at UAM. To check which universities have an International Agreement signed with UAM click here.

VISITING STUDENT

You may wish to study at UAM as a visiting student. This means that you have to apply directly to UAM to be accepted (without nomination of your home institution) and that you will have to pay the fees for the subjects that you choose. If you need more information (application form, deadlines, etc) click here.

REGULAR STUDENTS

If you wish to start or continue your studies in order to obtain a degree in UAM, you will have to apply for your admission as a regular student. For more information click here.

I AM STUDYING AT UAM

If you are already studying at UAM through an International Mobility Programme or as a Visiting Student, you will have been given a booklet titled GUÍA PARA ESTUDIANTES INTERNACIONALES at the time of registering. All the information that you may need during your stay is there, read it very carefully, it will be very useful for you.

MY STAY AT UAM HAS ALREADY FINISHED

Before returning to your country,plese check what documents you need to take back to your home institution from UAM, with enough time in advance. In most cases foreign students need two things from UAM:

Students through International Mobility Programmes

Certificate of Attendance: You can obtain it at International Relations and Mobility Office at Rectorate (second floor)

Transcript of records: It will be sent directly to the International Relations Office of your home University. We recommend you to gain access to your academic record in internet before leaving UAM. In this way you will be able to check the information that will appear in your Transcript of Records. If you don’t agree with the certificate and you are already in you home country it will be very complicated to get in touch with your professors during the summer period.

Visiting Students

Certificate of Attendance: You can obtain it at the International Relations and Mobility Office at Rectorate (second floor). The dates in the certificate will be, for the beginning, the day when the student registered and, for the end, the day when he asks for the certificate.

Transcript of records: At the end of your stay, you can ask for the Transcript of records at the Secretary (Secretaría) of the Faculty where you enrolled. You will have to pay the fee for this document.

In order the check the Transcript of records on internet the student will have to ask for a password at the Secretary (Secretaría) of his Faculty.
