The third issue of ARCHAEOFAUNA
has been thus far the one with the most complicate edition. Previous to
the publication of the second number, the members of the ICAZ Fish Remains
Working Group, which met in Leuven (Belgium) during september 1993, had
agreed on having the Proceedings from their Fifth Meeting held at Stora
Kornö (Sweden) edited by our Journal in 1994. This meant that a series
of manuscripts send for publication previous to that date had to be postponed.
Similarly, acceptance of new papers was momentarily cancelled. However,
the delay in receiving the Stora Kornö papers, coupled with the mailing
of only a partial number of them forced us, in april 1994, to change plans
in order to complete a volume of similar characteristics to previous numbers.
It is, nevertheless, hoped that Volume 4 will be devoted to finish the
publication of the Stora Kornö Proceedings, if possible in a monographic
way, provided that the remaining manuscripts will be sent in time.
