Target audience
The symposium is addressed to lecturers and researchers in Accounting and Finance. Given the increasing demand for young researchers in this academic field, their attendance to the Accounting Symposium will be particularly encouraged.
Call for papers
The symposium provides an excellent opportunity to discuss and present a limited number of high quality papers
linked to the topics discussed by the presenters. All participants are encouraged to submit their own research for presentation at the symposium.
Only papers in English language will be considered. Papers linked to the areas discussed by the presenters and by early stage researchers will be given preference

Language
Language of the lectures will be English (no simultaneous translation to be available).
Symposium objectives
The aim of the Symposium is to discuss current and future research topics in Accounting and Financial Reporting, paying special attention to the research methodologies used and promoting the discussion of some of the most controversial topics in accounting.
The Faculty
Lecturers are prestigious professors with extensive research experience and well-known publications in their respective area of expertise.
The invited faculty will provide a state of the art review of recent trends in accounting research by presenting

Lectures
9 sessions, 3-hour sessions from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 19-23, 2010.
Opening session: Monday, July 19, at 9:00 a.m. at Leeds University Business School (Leeds).
