On the occasion of the 65th birthday of Prof. Jürgen Wolfart a meeting entitled "Riemann Surfaces and Dessins d'Enfants" will be held at CIEM (Centro Internacional de Encuentros Matemáticos - International Center for Mathematical Meetings), located in Castro Urdiales (Spain) from 24 to 28 May 2010.
The main topics of the conference relate to Riemann surfaces and dessins d’enfants in a broad sense and include:
- Dessins d'enfants, combinatorics and graph theory.
- Algebraic geometry, defining equations of Riemann surfaces.
- Galois theory, moduli fields and fields of definition.
- Compact Riemann surfaces and their automorphisms, Hurwitz curves and quasiplatonic surfaces
Scientific committee: Gabino González-Diez, Gareth Jones and Alexander Zvonkin.
Organizing committee: Ernesto Girondo, Yolanda Fuertes, Gabino González-Diez, Manfred Streit and David Torres.
Information about the location of the meeting can be found in the web page of the CIEM.
