As Secretary of a Department with more than 50 staff members we fostered the update and modernization of academic management tasks; from the most basic, as sanctioning and implementing department agreements and resolutions, up to more complex ones as computerized teaching planning schemes, financial controlling, and the coordination of the Departments assistant staff. |

The Department Vicechair assumes the coordination of the Research Committee with the intention of organizing a research program around some key strategic lines, informing about competitive grants, promoting the participation of the department faculty, stimulating research with grants, and encouraging presentations in seminars. Additionally, to promote the department research dimension the Vicechair coordinates the Recruiting Committee, taking charge of the selection process (Resume screening, interviews at the SAEs, Job Market seminars,..). The final goal of our hiring policy is reaching academic excellence and research complementarities, requirements that comply all members who have recently joined our staff. |
