The Department of Theoretical Physics contributes to this program with Master level courses on Neuroscience and with the supervision of PhD thesis in the field of Theoretical/Computational Neuroscience.
The students obtain a vision about how the brain works, from its basic biophysical elements to its capacity to process information and develop cognitive abilities. Some of the topics covered within the program are: the neural code, visual processing and its relation with the natural visual environment, working memory and its mathematical and numerical modelling, associative memory, simulations of cortical networks and the description of the dynamics of neuronal circuits.
