Directions to reach the Department from the city of Madrid
SUBURBAN TRAINProbably the best way. There is a train station at the University. You can take: Line C-4 to Alcobendas/San Sebastián de los Reyes or to Colmenar Viejo. All of them stop in Atocha (main station in the Centre/South of Madrid), Sol, Nuevos Ministerios (Paseo de la Castellana) and Chamartín (main station in the North). After Chamartín, the second stop is Cantoblanco-Universidad, where you should exit. The time distance from “Nuevos Ministerios” to “Cantoblanco Universidad” is about 15 minutes.
BUSThere are buses from Madrid to the University, which are fairly frequent at typical high hours. They leave from Plaza de Castilla. You might reach Plaza de Castilla by metro (there is a stop with the same name). The Metro has an exit to the bus terminal, where you can locate the docks for the buses going to the UAM:
