The Argentinean artist aims to undertake a number of new projects in Madrid in 2010 as part of the events organised to celebrate the Bicentenary of the Independence of Latin America, together with the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

The work of Alejandro Marmo is on show in Latin America, (Buenos Aires and the Dominican Republic), Europe (Rome and Vienna), and Asia (Japan). His style - using urban waste materials - promotes art as a symbol of the union between ethnic groups and cultures, with his method of achieving social integration through art by recuperating public spaces

His work is promoted by the University of Bologna (Italy) as a metaphor for development, as he bases his style on the search for the development and social integration of vulnerable groups (the children of Villas Miserias, the unemployed, young people with legal problems, Croatian immigrants in Rome...) through play and imagination, transforming unusable materials into gigantic works of art placed in public spaces to strengthen participative construction. His work has been declared of cultural interest by various governments and communities.
