The deadline for the submission of works for the Story and Poetry Competitions finalises on 26 February. Any member of the university community and of the UAM Ex-Alumni Association who have not won prizes in previous editions may submit up to two unpublished works which have not received prizes from any other competition.
Stories, 19th eidtion
Entries must be printed on a maximum of ten sheets of DIN A-4 paper, consisting of no more than 21,000 characters. Entries will compete for the following prizes: first prize, of €1200; second prize, of €800; and four honourable mentions, each of €400
"Poesía", Tenth Poetry Competition
Poems must be at least 14 and no more than 60 verses long, printed with double spaces on one side of a sheet of DIN A-4 paper. Entries will compete for the following prizes: first prize, of €1,200; and a second prize of €600.
The decision of the panel of judges of both competitions will be announced during the closing ceremony of the events organised to celebrate “Book Day”, to be held around 23 April. Winning stories and poems, and other entries selected by the judges, will be collectively published by the UAM.
