Degree in Biology and Ph.D. in Biology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Postdoctoral researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB; 2009-2011, 2012-2018). Researcher associated with CIBC-UAM (Center for Research on Biodiversity and Global Change) and CREAF (Center for Research on Forest Ecology and Applications).

My major aim is to transfer knowledge and motivation to students in the development of their own career in biology and related environmental sciences. I am currently involved in theoretical and practical sessions on the analysis of the spatial diversity of plant communities and landscapes (Geobotany), Sampling methods, Botany, Conservation Biology, etc.

My research background comprises four disciplines: i) plant communities (diversity and richness); ii) Conservation biology of vascular and non-vascular plants and habitats included within the European Directive Habitat; iii) Phylogenetic, phylogenomic, and phylogeographic studies on vascular and non-vascular plants; iv) Plant - animal interactions (bush encroachment, plant-pollinator networks, plant fertility) in Mediterranean and Alpine ecosystems.
