A 5-month pre-doctoral contract is available in the Chemistry Department, Facultad de Ciencias, in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), under the joint supervision of Prof. O. Fojón (Universidad de Rosario) and Dr. A. Palacios, Ramón y Cajal Fellow (UAM). The research is focused on the use and development of ab initio methods to investigate the role of electron correlation in laser-atom and laser-molecule interactions using attosecond pulses.
Candidate Profile: Graduate in Physics or Chemistry (Chemical physics) (at the incorporation date). Applicants should have scientific interest for atomic and molecular physics and, preferably, some basic knowledge on developing numerical and computational methods. The project is developed in the framework of ultrafast atomic and molecular processes in multielectronic targets subject to attosecond radiation sources.
