EcoPack

What is Ecopack?

EcoPack is a challenge-based project developed by 3 Universities, 1 Research Institution and 4 industries. Participants will work in international teams to find solutions to:

• Reduce the amount of plastic used in supermarkets

• Replace shrink-wrappings by using more sustainable packaging materials

Who can participate?

Master and PhD students enrolled in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, CSIC, University of Hohenheim or University of Helsinki can apply to participate in EcoPack

How will Ecopack be developed?

EcoPack will be developed in 4 phases:

1. A kick off meeting in the University of Hohenheim (Sttutgart, Germany) in March 2019

2. Field work & business case development at your own institution and at partner facilities  (Mar- Nov 2019)

3. Mid-evaluation at Colruyt facilities (Belgium) in Jul 2019

4. Competition and Final Gala in Madrid (Spain) in Nov 2019

How can UAM students apply?

To participate in EcoPack, you need to submit your CV and a letter of motivation in .pdf and English to teresa.fresno@uam.es before February 28th 2019 23:59 h (Email subject: Solicitud EcoPack Name Last name)

Academic track, english level, motivation and entrepreneurial skills will be evaluated for selection
