The Optics & Photonic Center was created in 2007, during the implementation of MAScIR. The center is a platform for the development of advanced technologies in the field of nano-photonics, the main axes are: Plasmonics, Nanofabrication and Photovoltaics. The center has a state-of-the-art technical platform that allows it to develop, elaborate and characterize different properties of photonic systems. We are involved with University Mohammed V, Rabat, in different projects and work jointly to develop and achieve the target of the projects. As in the case of INFINIT-CELL project, that aims for the development of cost-efficient c-Si TF/kesterite tandem solar cells. Our main role is the elaboration of wide band-gap (>1.50 eV) kesterite solar cell devices with efficiency higher than 14%, compatible with tandem concepts (onto semi-transparent substrates) as kesterite/Si tandem solar cell with efficiency exceeding 20%.
