Sonae companies (http://www.sonae.pt/es/) have lunched a challenge of innovation for Portuguese and Spanish students in the administration, Business Science and engineering areas. The students in their last year of undergraduate or Master studies should apply in groups of two or three for the competition. The finalists will have assured paid internships in Sonae. In addition, the wining team will be awarded prize money of 3000€. The finalist Spanish students will be able to carry out the internships in the Sonae’s office located in Madrid.
Phases of the challenge:
1. Registration period from 15th February to 2th March. The students’ teams of 2 or 3 members should upload a video in which they will introduce themselves and their motivations to participate and work in Sonae In this phase just the profiles and motivations are evaluated.
2. The 7th March the teams entering the competition will be published.
3. From 7th March to 31th March. During this phase each group must develop a new and innovative business model, for the respective Sonae company. The 31th March, “[...]the Assessment Day, the teams will be invited to participate in a day of activities providing direct contact with Sonae companies and a mentor who, via constructive feedback on how to best prepare each team’s idea, will offer essential support in the idea-development phase ” - http://www.contactosonae2014.com/pdfs/regulation3.pdf.
4. Following the 31th March, Sonae will select the finalist teams that will present their work to the jury. This is the final phase of the competition, by the end of April the twenty five Contacto paid internships will be granted, and the prize of 3.000€ will be given to the winning team.
