Course Groups

Group Coding and Allocation
Academic Year 2014-15

Left to right, the meaning of every codification digit is as follows :

  • The first digit identifies both the 1st/2nd semester (even/odd) and the Degree:
1 - First semester of Computer Engineering or Computer Engineering-Mathematics
    2 - Second semester idem
3 - First semester of Telecommunication
    4 - Second semester idem
  • The second digit identifies the year (1st to 4th).
  • The third digit identifies the exact group for the theoretical subjects (1 to 4, morning shift – 6 to 8, afternoon). It will be 5 (Double Degree) or 9 (Computer Degree) when it is an english-teaching group, and a 0 for spanish-teaching groups of Double Degrees.
  • The fourth digit will only identify the subgroup for lab subjects within every group of theoretical sujects.

1. Degree in Computer Engineering

In the lab subjects (without a group of theory and with 4 digits, as 17818 and 17823 in the First Year), the student will choose the group when enrolling.

In theoretical subjects (3 digits) and in lab subjects (4 digits), the group of theory will be determined by the last name of the student. In the first days of the course students will be informed about the election of the practices group.

According to the first letter of the student's last name, the enrollment groups (for the theoretical subjects) will be assigned following the intervals below. If any size disorder should occur within the groups, the necessary "shift of letters" will be made, and the information will be published here.

Chek the procedures to follow if you desire a group change [ES only]

For the elective subjects “Videogames” and “Mobiles” there ir also a second group (149 or 249) that will be taught in English, if the number of students enrolled in both is enough. The student must choose the preferred one and in September we will confirm if said subjects will be taught in both English and Spanish or only Spanish.
