5 years fixed-term faculty positions under the Atraccion de Talento Investigador César Nombela

Job description:
The Department of Theoretical Physics (DFT) of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid UAM welcomes expressions of interest for fixed-term faculty positions under the ``Atracción de Talento Investigador César Nombela'' programme of the Madrid regional government.
 
These are 5-year positions with an additional research grant of up to 200 k€. The official application period is expected to be in April 2024. Details will appear in the next few weeks at
 
Applicants will be expected to fulfill, among others, the following conditions:
  • PhD between 1st Jan 2014 and 31st Dec 2021.
  • For at least two years of the last five, the researcher must have been linked to an R&D institution or organisation located outside Spain.
  • Applications have to be supported by a host institution.
Interested candidates with scientific expertise in the research lines of the department, 1_Astronomy and Astrophysics, 2_Theoretical Physics and 3_Nuclear Physics, should send an expression of interest within April 8, 2024, in order to undergo a pre-selection procedure, including the following information:
-First Name
-Last Name
-Email
-Field of Interest including subareas (Example: 2_Theoretical Physics/Particles Phenomenology…)
-Updated CV, including list of publications
-Research proposal
-List at least two referees who can send a letter of recommendation on your behalf. (The referees will be contacted afterwards)
 
Expressions of interest should be sent to the academic secretary of the DFT: Prof. Luca Merlo.
 
Candidates that are selected by the DFT for support will be notified timely.
