
Call for contest "Thesis in 3 Minutes" - 2023
The Doctoral Schools of the University of Alcalá (UAH), the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and the Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) jointly announce the Seventh Contest " Thesis in 3 minutes” in order to pose to their doctoral students the challenge of explaining their research work during a limited intervention in time, through a simple and intelligible language that is capable of reaching the general public. Its objective is to bring the work of trainee researchers closer to society in order to instill in them an interest in popularizing and disseminating science.
1st Doctoral students who are at least in their second training course of a Doctoral Program, in one of the five convening universities, and have passed at least one annual evaluation may participate.
2º At the time of requesting participation in the contest, candidates must have the approval of their Doctoral Thesis Director. When the signatures of the directors are not digital, they must be accredited by sending the email in pdf where the director attaches the document. You can save the mail in pdf or print it as pdf. Screenshots are not accepted.
3º This application form must be sent to the email address: doctorado.gestion@uam.es indicating in the subject: Thesis in 3 minutes.
Deadline: from February 28 to March 27, 2023. The deadline will close from 11:59 p.m. on March 27, so emails received after 12:00 a.m. on March 28, peninsular time Spain, will be excluded.
