The State Secretariat for Research, Development and Innovation of the Spanish Economy and Competitiveness Ministry has published 398 additional Research+Development grants within the Torres Quevedo Program, of 29.8 million euros in total.
The Torres Quevedo Program is aimed at companies, technological centers, technologic innovation support centers, corporate associations and technological and scientific parks, for the development of industrial and technological research projects and initial Research+Development studies.
This program funds the total cost of hiring a professor for the development of its projects, and can last up to three years.
This funding is carried out in direct grants, in between 25% and 75% of the total cost of hiring the researcher, depending on the nature of the project and the beneficiary.
