Mentor Program

The Mentor programme is an activity organized by the IRO of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the UAM addressed to all the students, spanish and foreigners. The programme consists in the assignation of a local volunteer student for being the tutor of one or several foreign students during the academic year in several matters related to their university life: location of the classrooms, courses timetables, teacher's offices, trainings, procedures and life at the campus, life in the city, etc...

For the local students is a very good opportunity to meet new people from other countries, to learn or practice another language, to exchange cultural experiences etc.

For the foreign students is very helpful, during the first days of their stay above all, to learn the procedures of the university, making new friends, practicing the spanish language etc.

The program is completely volunteer with no obligations, just to fill a small survey at the end of the semester. Apart from the personal satisfaction of helping other students, the University rewards the work and effort of the Mentors with an ECTS credit.

If you want to join the programme you just have to fil ONE of the following forms depending if you are a local student or a foreign student:

• Form for local students (Regular students at the UAM)
• Form for foreign students (ERASMUS, Convenios, etc...)
