Summary and objectives. Biomedical research often uses techniques that require image analysis (Western blot, measurements of biomolecules, morphometric analysis, MRI). Lack of knowledge onquantification tools reduces the information that can be obtained or results in biased quantification. The aim of the seminar is to provide the theoretical background on Image Analysis and the use of the Program ImageJ, one of the most used in Biomedical Research. The students will also have the opportunity to practice under supervision with program with their own images or those provided by the lecturer.
Target audience. This seminar is part of the Master in Pharmacological Research, but other Postgraduate students or researchers interested in Image analysis are also accepted (maximum 55 persons).
