PATRICIO SAIZ conducts research on patent and trademark management in backward economies, especially Spain and Latin America. Since 1999, he has been in charge of a research agreement between the UAM and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. He has published several books and articles in journals such as Regional Studies, Industry & Innovation, Industrial and Corporate Change, Business History, Enterprise & Society, Latin American Research Review, Business History Review or Cliometrica.
