Joerg Huelsken (PhD) is Professor at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne. Huelsken´s laboratory study the role of tissue-specific stem cells for tissue homeostasis and cancerogenesis. He has received the 2009 Pfizer Award for Medical Research and the Robert Wenner 2012 prize for his groundbreaking work on the role of cancer stem cells in tumour growth and the formation of metastasis.
