Description and Objectives
The Interuniversity Master's UAM-UNED in Agro-Environmental and Agri-Food Sciences focuses on the field of agricultural production, considering the environmental factors crucial for sustainable food production. This involves obtaining sufficient and high-quality agri-food products while ensuring compatibility with environmental respect through the use of sustainable practices.
Among its objectives, the following can be highlighted:
- Provide specialized training on agricultural systems, agrochemical management, and their environmental issues, as well as corresponding experimental methodologies.
- Address the need for training qualified specialists in the agro-environmental area and sustainable and high-quality agri-food production.
- Enable students to acquire advanced training to minimize the environmental impact of agri-food production and optimize the use of various types of waste and by-products as a source of high-value-added components.
Student profiles
Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering (Agronomic, Environmental, Industrial, etc.), Food Science, and Pharmacy are eligible to apply. Likewise, access may be granted from other related degrees within the field of Experimental Sciences.
Professional Training
At the end of the Master's program, graduates will be able to continue in scientific or technological research (doctorate, provided that their previous studies allow it), or enter the specialized labor market in related sectors (management of R&D projects, agricultural and environmental analysis and quality control laboratories, fertilizer and phytosanitary companies, environmental consulting and agronomic advice, agri-food companies and industries, support to managers and/or legislators on agricultural issues).

They have official status and validity throughout the national territory, confer full academic effects, grant access to the Doctorate, and, if applicable, qualify for the performance of regulated professional activities, in accordance with the regulations applicable in each case.
