Specific Admission Requirements
To access the Master's Degree in Quality and Improvement of Education, it is necessary to hold an official Spanish university degree. Likewise, graduates from foreign educational systems may access the program without the need for the homologation of their degrees, provided they demonstrate a level of education equivalent to the corresponding Spanish university degrees and that their degree allows access to postgraduate studies in the issuing country.
As a prerequisite for admission to the Master's program, it is mandatory to demonstrate a minimum English level of B1 and a Spanish level of C1 for students whose first language is not Spanish. In the latter case, passing a language proficiency test equivalent to C1 or an interview with the Master's program coordinator to verify Spanish proficiency will be required. In any case, students are recommended to participate in Spanish as a Foreign Language courses offered by the Autonomous University of Madrid through its Language Service.
Itinerary 1: Change, Management, and Leadership in Education
- Graduates in Early Childhood or Primary Education.
- Non-university level teachers actively working or seeking employment who wish to deepen their knowledge in management, improvement, and leadership or aim to enhance their professional development for positions in management, inspection, evaluation, or consultancy roles.

Itinerary 2: Inclusive Education
- Graduates in Early Childhood or Primary Education.
- Non-university level teachers actively working or seeking employment who wish to complement their training in the management of diversity-oriented projects.

Documentation to be attached to the application
Mandatory documents:
- DNI / Passport
- Academic transcript of grades of undergraduate studies (1)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Certificate of the average grade (2) [Required for students who have not done their access studies at the UAM].
- Proof of English language proficiency at B1 level
- Proof of Spanish language proficiency at B2 level [Compulsory only for non-Spanish speaking students].
- Application for Specialization/Itinerary of the Master's Program
- Access Degree: If you have completed your studies at the time of applying for the master's degree, you must attach the degree certificate/diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent (or proof of having applied for the degree) in the application.
(1) The academic transcript must be translated if it is not in the Spanish language. It will not be necessary to translate documents if they are in English, French, Italian or Portuguese.
In the case of having taken Master’s/Doctoral studies, we recommend including them as additional documents to your application.
(2) If you have studied in Spain, you should attach a Certificate showing the average grade (on a scale of 0 to 10). If you have already studied at UAM, you will not need to submit this certificate.
If you have studied outside of Spain, you will need to submit the average grade equivalence issued by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (see section “related links”).
Admission Criteria
The students of the Master's Degree in Quality and Improvement of Education will be selected by the Master's Coordination Committee, according to the following criteria:

Other requirements for students with non-EU qualifications
When you have been notified about your acceptance on the Master's Degree, and your acceptance is based on a university qualification issued by a higher education institution not belonging to the EHEA, you will need to legalize the qualification via diplomatic channels in order to formalize registration, or by means of a “Hague Convention Apostille”.
