J.P. Charron received his Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Marketing from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business (Canada, 2003) and his MSc in Marketing from the Rey Juan Carlos University (Spain, 2011).
Before embracing the academic career, he worked for a decade with global FMCG leaders (essentially Danone and L’Oréal), holding various sales and marketing positions such as Category Manager, Key Account Manager and Regional Sales Manager. He also got involved in various professional development courses and seminars, like the Dale Carnegie Course on effective communication, a number of AC Nielsen trainings as well as the Hautes Études Commerciales’ seminar on Emotional Intelligence.
He participated in international academic conferences, such as the EMAC, and lectured students from various universities, including ESCP Madrid, CEU-San Pablo and Carlos III University, where he also completed an internship and collaborated in an educational improvement project. While completing his PhD dissertation, he also worked in partnership with Concordia University’s Luc Beauregard Centre of Excellence in Communications Research.
