
Epidemiology and Public Health

This Inter-University programme is offered jointly by research groups from the Departments of Preventive Medicine and Public Health of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), University of Alcalá (UA) and University of Rey Juan Carlos (URJC). It also has the participation of research groups from the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII).
It is the only Epidemiology and Public Health programme offered in the Community of Madrid and one of the few in Spain.
Its main objective is to train top-level researchers who are capable of generating new and relevant knowledge on the frequency and determinants of health problems and the use of health services. They will also be able to translate this knowledge into concrete actions to improve the health of the population.
