Alfredo Carrato (MD, PhD) is Head of the Medical Oncology Unit at the Hospital Universitario Ramon y Cajal and Full Professor at the Universidad de Alcalá. His work is developed in the field of the clinical and basic research, especially in the area of digestive tract tumors (TTD), being a prominent member of the Spanish Group for Research in TTD with more than 200 publications. He is president of the Spanish Association for Research on Cancer (ASEICA).
