Convocatoria de Ayudas para contratos Ramon y Cajal

The Departamento de Física Teórica (DFT) of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) hereby expresses interest in supporting suitable candidates for the upcoming Ramón y Cajal fellowship call.

The objective of this call is to promote the incorporation of Spanish and foreign research personnelwith outstanding track records into research organisations such as UAM. Note that these are tenure-track position with the commitment to open a permanent position right after the five years of the fellowship.

The DFT offers a vibrant research and teaching environment covering theoretical and experimental particle physics, nuclear physics, galactic and extragalactic astrophysics, and cosmology. More than 50 scientists work on various topics (in addition to some 30 PhD students). The Autonomous University of Madrid offers equal opportunities in employment.

Further information is available on the official website of the Agencia Estatal de Investigación, which lists December 10, 2026, as the deadline for submitting applications. However, the DFT must notify UAM of the candidates it intends to support by December 1, 2026.
