MODULE 1: RESEARCH FUNDAMENTALS
MODULE 2: RESEARCH TECHNIQUES IN BASIC PSYCHOLOGICAL PROCESSES
MODULE 3: ADVANCED RESEARCH SEMINAR
MODULE 4: INTERNSHIP AND THESIS
FIRST SEMESTER: 30 Credits.
Three mandatory subjects from Module 1 will be taken:
- Scientific Communication and Research Designs (Mandatory, 6 ECTS credits).
- Theoretical Foundations and Recent Advances in the Study of Basic Psychological Processes (Mandatory, 6 ECTS credits).
- Programming and Data Analysis in Basic Psychological Processes (Mandatory, 6 ECTS credits).
Additionally, 4 optional subjects from Module 2 will be taken (3 ECTS credits each).
SECOND SEMESTER: 30 Credits.
The following will be taken:
-Module 3: Advanced Research Seminar in Basic Processes (9 mandatory credits): three seminars, chosen from those offered, each worth 3 ECTS credits.
-Module 4:
- Research Practicum (9 credits, mandatory). The external practices will consist of carrying out a supervised research project. Different avenues are available for this:
-Conducting research within one of the research groups at UAM, either in the Faculty of Psychology or in other campus centers.
-Conducting research at an external center, such as another university, a medical center or hospital, or a center within CSIC, etc.
-Participating in a practical mobility program under Erasmus, allowing for research development at a European center (for example, within the CIVIS Universities or in research centers and groups with which contacts are maintained).
- Master's Thesis (12 credits, mandatory).
Notice
In accordance with the agreements by UAM’s Postgraduate Studies Committee, any optional subjects on which less than five students are registered, may not go ahead. The students affected by this situation will be informed accordingly so that they can register on other subjects.
The choice of optional subjects may vary slightly before the start of the classes due to adjustments to the Master's Degree teaching schedule, in which case students will be informed accordingly.
