The University Autonoma of Madrid presents since the school year 2010-2011 a double degree in cooperation with the Political Institute of Bordeaux (IEP SciencesPo Bordeaux).
This dual degree UAM-IEP Bordeaux is designed to allow the student to follow during a five year course an intergrated Spanish-French training. The courses available allow the student to acquire and master knowledge on the political and social institutions in France and Spain. A European and International scope will be used during the different lessons. This will allow him not only to have employment perspectives with the European Union but also within the private and public sectors of the two countries involved in the program. Upon finishing the degree the student will obtain the following diplomas: a Bachelor in Political and public Administration at the UAM, the bachelor of IEP Bordeaux, a Masters at the University Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV and a Masters at the UAM (however in order to obtain the last diploma the student will have to do his fifth year in Madrid). There is a limited number of admissions to the program, ten French and ten Spanish students. The selection will be achieved according to their academic record, their language skills as well as an individual interview. The students admitted in the program will study together during the first four years (first and third year in Bordeaux; second and fourth year in Madrid) and will be allowed to choose in which institution they would like to finish their degree.
For those interested in starting this program in 2012-2013, they can already contact the coordinator of the degree itziar.ruiz-gimenez@uam.es . However the admissions period will start only in March and the interviews usually take place in April and May.
