UAM PhD Week 2026
During the week of the 25th May until 29th May 2026, from the Doctoral School we are promoting several activities to create a meeting point for our PhD candidates. Aditionally, we intend to highlight the research carried out by training researchers while they complete their PhD.

May 25 – Cantoblanco Campus – Cross-disciplinary Day.

Due to limited capacity, doctoral students interested in attending the workshop must register through SIGMA at:

Attendance at this event will be certified, provided that you have previously registered via SIGMA and verify your attendance by signing the sheet provided for this purpose on the day of the conference; this may be included in the Doctoral Activities Document.
May 26–28
Scientific meetings specific to the doctoral programs.
Doctoral students will present papers to showcase the progress of the research associated with their doctoral theses. While framed within the scope of each doctoral program, these sessions are open to the university community.
May 28, afternoon (Cantoblanco campus sports facilities).
16:00h. Beach volleyball tournament.
As a gathering point for more recreational activities, a friendly tournament will be held among teams of 4–6 doctoral students who wish to participate. Organized by the CRD.
May 29 – Cantoblanco Campus – Cross-disciplinary Day.
UAM Multipurpose Hall, Plaza Mayor.
10:30-12:00h. Poster exhibition showcasing the university’s doctoral programs.
This will be an opportunity to present to the university community representative examples of the research being conducted in each of the university’s doctoral programs.
12:30h. Science monologues presented by Big Van Ciencia.
13:30h. Award ceremony for the best posters.
13:40h. Closing of Doctoral Week.
