Resume CV

After a bachelor in biology and a masters in ecology, biodiversity and evolution at the Ecole Normale Supérieur de Paris, I obtained my Doctorate from the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle (Paris) supervised by Jérôme Sueur and Fanny Rybak. During my time at the Muséum, I investigated the unexplored acoustic communities and populations of freshwater environments and their relationships with environmental variables such as temperature, acoustic noise, or habitat connectivity. I then obtained a post-doc fellowship from the Fondation Fyssen to study the effect of social environment on the development of vibrational communication in treehoppers. I worked at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee under the supervision of Rafael Rodríguez. I am now doing my second post-doc at the Departamento de Ecología of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid under the supervision of Diego Llusia. I am using passive acoustic monitoring methods to predict the effect of climate change on Brazilian frog populations.

Lineas de investigación

I am most interested in how the environment shapes animal communication. This interest is driven both by the desire to better understand fundamental evolutionary processes driving such relationships as well as developing applied methods to monitor populations and communities.

  • Ecoacoustics.
  • Acoustic communication.
  • Global change.
  • Behavioural Ecology.
  • Social plasiticty.
  • Insects and frogs.
