The Master’s Degree in Condensed Matter Physics and Biological Systems is aimed at graduates in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Health Sciences and degrees in the field of Science and Engineering who are interested in Condensed Matter Physics and Nanoscience, or in the quantitative study of organisms, systems and biological processes from the perspective of Physics. The programme seeks to provide training for future researchers in a multidisciplinary atmosphere of excellence.

Specific admission requirements:
To access the Master’s Degree in Condensed Matter Physics and Biological Systems is necessary to meet the general conditions of access and admission of students for all masters, as reflected in the rules of postgraduate studies at UAM.
As regards the specific conditions for admission to Master’s Degree, must be entitled higher (Bachelor or Degree) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or similar, particularly in the case of applicants from Latin American countries, students with higher education may have no direct equivalent in Spain.
Since the Master is taught in English, students must have knowledge of English to enable them to understand and write scientific texts in English as well as understand seminars taught in English (B2 level or equivalent).

Applicants with access studies pending finalization must include a Statement of having finished the previous studies stating the expected date of finalization.
