Spanish Language thru Food & Culture

Requirements: Spanish (A2.2)
Applications will be accepted as of January, 13th, 2017
The course is for students of Spanish with an A2.2 level.
Through food we will discover cultural aspects of Spain that serve as discussion, reading and writing content for this course.
By means of structured language exercises you will gain basic communication skills in Spanish and understand recipes both in written form as well as instructions given on videos. You will be able to express your tastes, give opinions about prepared dishes, write a cooking diary and shop for ingredients. You will also learn how to prepare some traditional Spanish dishes.
Students should plan another two hours in the afternoons, when they will meet up with their instructor in Madrid in order to go to a typical market and get the ingredients for the next day, take a culinary walking tour of the center of the city, or take part in a wine tasting at a typical “bodega”.
